We can explore the Physical properties of materials by observing the material. Examples include colour, texture, smell.
Reflective Materials
- Reflective materials describes how much light is reflected from the material
- The reflection occurs always on the surface of the material
- Example: foil, water, window, mirror
Absorbent Materials
- Absorbent materials soak up water and allows water pass through
- The ability of a material to take in moisture
- Example: fabric, cotton wool, tissue
Waterproof Materials
- Waterproof materials does not allow water pass through
- The ability of a material to keep moisture out
- Example: rubber, leather, plastic, glass
